GEORGE STEPHENSON EXHIBITION HALL
| |
|
|
 |
| The George Stephenson Exhibition
Hall was completed in April 2005 and is
102 metres long by 24 metres wide. The main
hall has a concrete floated floor which
is extremely smooth and could be carpeted.
The walls are insulated throughout and the
roof is also insulated and has 20% clear
panels, making light levels almost as good
as daylight. On the front, or east facing
elevation, there is an area of glass either
side of the central entrance foyer. The
main foyer has 2 external double doors and
can be used as a reception for your event.
There are numerous fire escapes and a full
fire alarm system with generous emergency
lighting. |

The licensed capacity of the
George Stephenson Hall is over 4,000 persons.Heating
is presently planned to be by gas space
heaters or electric heaters positioned throughout
the hall. Electricity is available from
the pillar points every 6 metres, and from
3 over head buzz-bars, using drop-cables. |
| |
| There are 2 sets of 32 amp
single phase and 100 amp three phase supplies
available as well, both of which attract
an extra charge. |
