Trent Valley Agricultural Preservation Society

If collection nostalgia be your hobby or pastime a welcome awaits you in THE TRENT VALLEY AGRICULTURAL PRESERVATION SOCIETY marquee near the Countryside and Forestry area on the showground.

We are an established independent local group of bygone collectors formed 40 years ago and have regularly displayed at various shows, rallies and ploughing matches through the years

We meet once a month through the winter in Collingham Memorial Hall enjoying visiting speakers. In the summer months we display our exhibitions in all weathers. We are often called “The Museum which travels”.

Each member owns and maintains their individual collections. These range from sewing needles to farm implements and fire engines. Should your interest be in collecting memorabilia new members are always welcome, as are children if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

‘WE OF THE PRESENT PRESERVE THE PAST, FOR THE FUTURE’.

National Vintage Tractor & Engine Club

The Nottinghamshire Group, formed in 1971, is a very lively organisation with a full programme of meetings and events throughout the year.   Members receive our own house newsletter ‘Splutter’ and the national magazine ‘Vaporising’.

The Group, as well as being represented here at the County Show, also attends LAMMA, held on the Showground in January each year.  It is also one of the main organisers of the county’s premier Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show, staged on the Showground in November annually.

We welcome you to view our extensive display of vintage tractors and equipment, along with stationary engines and farming memorabilia.  Please feel free to ask questions of any of our committee or stewards that are present: Pat Scarborough, Treasurer or Michael Hart, Vice Chairman.

Further details are available on the Club’s website at www.nvtecnotts.co.uk or call the Chairman David Green on 01636 673100
