Join the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society
We are looking for a creative, organised, and proactive Marketing and Communications Officer to help raise the profile of the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society and support the promotion of our events, charitable activities, and wider work across the rural sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong marketing skills to work across a varied portfolio, including major events such as the Nottinghamshire County Show, the Midlands Machinery Show, and the Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show, alongside education and charitable initiatives that celebrate and support agriculture in the region.
In this role, you will plan and deliver marketing and communications activity across digital and print channels, helping to grow audiences, increase engagement, and support membership, sponsorship, and event participation.
You will create campaigns, manage website content, produce email communications, support social media activity, coordinate design and print projects, and help ensure our communications are clear, engaging, and aligned with our objectives. The role also offers the chance to contribute to educational programmes and charitable initiatives that make a positive impact across the county.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering marketing campaigns for our events, membership activity, and charitable programmes
- Creating content for websites, email marketing, social media, advertising, and print materials
- Working with internal colleagues and external suppliers to deliver effective, high-quality communications
- Monitoring campaign performance and using insight to improve future activity
- Supporting the successful promotion and delivery of key events throughout the year
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a marketing or communications role, with the ability to deliver campaigns across multiple channels
- Strong digital marketing, copywriting, and content creation skills
- Confidence using websites, email marketing platforms, social media, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- A proactive, creative, and collaborative approach
- An interest in agriculture, rural affairs, events, or the charity sector would be an advantage
- You will be someone who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and play an active, hands-on role in the practical delivery of events, including setup and breakdown when required.
What We Offer
This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in a respected organisation at the heart of the agricultural and rural community, with the chance to work across high-profile events, charitable initiatives, and meaningful regional engagement.
This is a full-time, office-based role at Newark Showground. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support events and related activities.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK.
- You must be able to travel independently to Newark Showground and other work-related locations when required.
If you are a motivated marketing professional looking for a varied and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
